Reading & Pondering Today 5-31

image“I turn away from habits of weakness and cultivate habits of strength.

I know I have habits of weakness in certain areas of my life. Today, I remember that with the help of God I can change my mind and change my ways.

Who I have been, I need not be now. What I have done, I need not do now. How I have acted, I need not act now. I call upon the spirit of God to break the chains that bind me to the weakness of my former self. I choose strength, and know that God Himself supports my choice.

I know God Himself will help me be the person He would have me be. Today I eschew the habits of weakness that keep me bound in suffering. I claim the power of God within me to break all cords that bind me to the past and to deliver me to my better self. Amen.”

Excerpt From: Williamson, Marianne. “A Year of Miracles.”
