He Pursues Us 2/10/2021

“Jesus knows that we will never come alive to the life He came to bring us until He is at the center of our lives.

We will live, but never be fully alive to all that God has for us. Apart from Jesus Christ we are dead. Not like zombies, but spiritually dead because through sin we have become separated from God who is the very source of life.

The hardest truth for anyone to admit is that we have all sinned. Not just a little, but a lot.

Scripture reveals that we are so sinful, lost, and helpless that only the very Son of God, coming in the flesh and dying in our place, could allow our sins to be forgiven.

Jesus is the only One who has the power to forgive us of all our sins because He is the One who took the punishment of God for our sins.

Through Christ, we are offered restoration and reconciliation with God. God takes that which is broken and dead within us and makes it new. He pursues us in order to establish an intimate relationship with us.

This is the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ made the way to God for us by His death on the cross. He purchased our salvation by the shedding of His blood. His death and resurrection made a way for us to have a relationship with God.”
