On Making Decisions

Because spirit is the part of our mind that remains in conscious contact with God, we can safely place all decisions in His hands.

The mortal ego dwells in linear time and does not know the future; spirit dwells in eternity and therefore does. He knows not only what will happen in the future, but also how every decision made will affect every living thing forever.

Imagine an infinitely complex computer that could reliably analyze any situation and give a readout, to the nth detail, of what would happen if this, this, or that were to occur. We dont get to see the readout, of course, but we are given simple instructions on how best to behave in order to support the highest outcome for ourselves and others.

The instructions might come in a form as simple as an intuitive flash, or a complex process of growth and understanding that gradually unfolds within us.
