Reading & Pondering Today 5-14

“May my eyes be opened to the miracles around me.

Every instant, the universe begins again. Miracles happen not in the past or future, but now. Every moment, God is pouring forth His love, with endless opportunities for renewal and rebirth. His voice proclaims eternally, “Here is the glory of the universe. Embrace it, for it is yours.”

May I not resist the beauty of life, the colors of nature, or the nuances of light. May I not be hardened to the fragility of the heart. May I not abandon the field of miracles that is laid before me every moment of my day.

Dear God,

Open my eyes that I might see
And open my ears that I might hear
The magnificence of everything.
Open my mind that I might know
And open my heart that I might feel
The radiance of everything.
Open my soul that I might realize
The miracle of You.”
