Reading & Pondering Today 4-19

“My spiritual journey is the meaning of my life.

Spirituality is an inner fire, the mystical sustenance that feeds my soul. My spiritual journey drives me into myself, to a sacred flame at the center of my being. This journey gives me eyes to see, and the inner strength to live the mystery of the real.

Walking the roads of the outer journey, outside the blaze of mystical truths, I am cold and spiritually lifeless. I am less than my potential when I am lost within the illusions of the world. Today I awake to the world beyond the veil, and find the meaning of my life at last.

May my eyes be opened today, that they might penetrate the darkness of a world that has forgotten love. May my ears be opened to hear the cries of the heart that go out from every soul. May I not be tempted by the thinking of the world to forget why I am here.”

Excerpt From: Williamson, Marianne. “A Year of Miracles.”
