Simply stated, it’s the grace that prevents you from harming yourself or others because of your pride, greed, anger, or arrogance. Humility is a protective shield: it speaks to you as a soft voice in the midst of the worst arguments, asking you, “Are you sure you want to say such cruel words to this person? If you do, you might win the moment but lose the friendship forever.”
